WORKFORCE HOUSING

39°N is very excited to be able to provide workforce housing options to the “missing middle” in the North Lake Tahoe/Truckee region. The project is intended for residents who work within the physical boundaries of the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District and earn between 80-220% of Area Median Income. This “missing middle” was identified as having the greatest housing need in the 2021 Regional Workforce Housing Needs Assessment published by the Mountain Housing Council of Tahoe Truckee. You can read the full report here. The 1.3-acre site of our 74-unit workforce housing apartment building is currently an empty lot located on the southwest corner of North Lake Boulevard and Chipmunk Street. The site has been designated by Placer County as a property slated for development.
